  This is a newer(as of May 2018), clean, accommodating hotel. I was completely stressed about about finding a clean/budget friendly hotel near or in NYC on a somewhat short notice. The staff, starting with my reservation call, my call to the front desk prior to check in , the bartender in the lounge, and in particular Shawna at the front desk made this location a wonderful solution. (She deserves a raise.)
  There is free parking, which is amazing in or near the city, a free breakfast(not superior but not bad), a hidden lounge on the 5th floor, a pool, and while they contract with a shuttle they will also direct you to a cheaper more flexible shuttle pick-up a short walk away in front of the Super 8 . Be advised that the shuttle ride is a little surreal but it does the job effectively dropping at the corner of the Port Authority and picking up in front of the NY Times building 24/7 on a continuous schedule 10-15 minutes apart for only three dollars. Please note that on the return trip from NYC the shuttle does not drop you off where it picked you up which can be a little disconcerting at first. While the shuttle is surreal and definitely not clean the hotel is CLEAN which was my biggest priority, the lobby, the halls, the elevator, and the room were all well maintained. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that while the location is very convenient it is in a run down area.

  Love this hotel, always clean and newly built! Staff is great!!!
  The breakfast could get a bit better and also there should be another way to get into the parking without taking such much time
